The Acme Furniture Group began back in 1964 with a tin shed, 8 people and a vision.
Today the group employs in excess of 180 people at our state of art facilities based in Brisbane. Acme is one of the largest furniture manufactures in Australia. Acme is one of few manufactures that has been able to survive within the Australian Furniture Industry, an industry that has experienced tough economical conditions with fierce import competition. Initially, Acme specialized in upholstery, and grew through diversification across all aspects of furniture including domestic lounges, dining, occasional, bedroom units, cabinets, panel designs, commercial and contract furniture. Today Acme has emerged as a stronger and more effective business, specializing in manufacturing and supplying upholstered furniture. Acme is proud to produce high quality Australian made products and our success has been the ability to combine a highly skilled workforce with advanced machinery and equipment available. Acme is working towards the goal of Lean Manufacturing to improve efficiency in all areas of the business, and ultimately improve customer service. |
